We have had so much fun bringing this special bass to market. It has been embraced by the likes of Ed Friedland, Bob Glaub, Pino Palladino, Meshell Ndgeocello, and many more amazing musicians.
To be able to offer the Acinonyx at an affordable price, we initially decided to have it manufactured overseas. It was a very big financial commitment for our tiny company and somehow, with your help, we managed to pull it off. Acinonyx was a success! Then the lockdown hit and then the shipping industry had supply chain overload and shipping prices skyrocketed, all while our container sat off shore. Yet we persisted.
So now we are at the end of inventory on our last shipment of basses, and with that, a decision was made. We will not be ordering any more overseas instruments. The resources it takes to order the amount of basses required to fulfil a factory order just isn't feasible for us at this time. We may find a builder that will take a smaller order or build batch basses in-house, but those will have the higher prices to reflect a U.S.A built product.
So if you were ever considering this bass and want one at the $999 base price, now is your last chance. We will also be selling off all B-stock basses (most are paint issues) at $899. We will be inventorying those and posting them soon.
